Initial Consultation

Examination, Special Testing Review (if required), Diagnosis and Explanation, and First Treatment.

1 h
130 US dollars
Finch Avenue West

Service Description

The initial examination will encompass a thorough evaluation, beginning with a comprehensive medical history to gather pertinent information. Following this, a physical examination will be conducted, incorporating a focused physical assessment, neurological assessment, posture analysis and an orthopedic examination to assess musculoskeletal function. Specialized testing may also be employed, including sEMG, Ultrasound, (q) EEG and Posturography, as deemed necessary. The initial examination aims to provide an understanding of your condition, ensuring a comprehensive approach to diagnosis and treatment planning. Following the examination, a conclusive diagnosis will be established, and a tailored treatment plan will be formulated to effectively address your specific injury or healthcare needs. This approach ensures that the provided care is precise, individualized, and optimized for your overall well-being. If radiography's are required, we will refer you out with a referral.

We offer telehealth consultations for individuals who may be experiencing symptoms of whiplash. These virtual visits are intended to provide education, guidance, and support, but they are not a substitute for in-person care. Scope of Telehealth Services During a telehealth consultation, our clinicians may: Discuss your symptoms, history of injury, and possible diagnoses. Provide education on whiplash-related conditions. Offer recommendations for exercises, stretches, and self-management strategies. Suggest potential treatment options and referrals. Limitations of Telehealth for Whiplash A telehealth visit cannot replace a comprehensive in-person examination. We are unable to perform physical assessments such as orthopedic, neurological, or imaging tests that may be necessary for a full diagnosis. Our recommendations are provided for educational purposes and should not be taken as a definitive diagnosis or treatment plan. Follow-Up Care We strongly recommend that all patients experiencing whiplash symptoms follow up with a local licensed healthcare provider—such as a chiropractor (DC) or medical doctor (MD)—to confirm findings and receive hands-on assessment and care. If symptoms worsen, new neurological symptoms appear, or recovery is not progressing as expected, you should seek immediate in-person medical evaluation. Acknowledgment By participating in a telehealth consultation, you acknowledge that you understand the limitations of online care and agree to follow up with a qualified local healthcare provider for a full evaluation and treatment.
